At a glance

The detail that matters.

Membership should make access clearer without weakening clinical judgement, confidentiality or the need to use urgent services appropriately.

01

Household care, organised

A single plan can make it simpler to understand how eligible adults and children access suitable private GP appointments.

02

Every patient stays individual

Clinical decisions, records, communication permissions and information sharing are managed separately for each family member.

03

Eligibility is written down

The plan summary names who can join, any age or address requirements, the included access and charges for adding or removing members.

Membership in practice

What this means for your care.

The plan organises access. The doctor still makes each clinical decision according to your needs, the evidence available and the safest care setting.

Your written plan defines the commercial service. Your clinician defines the medical plan.

01

Named members

Only people enrolled on the plan can use it. The service confirms each person’s identity and relationship to the account holder.

02

Children and consent

The clinician confirms parental responsibility, the child’s needs and the appropriate consent or involvement for their age and understanding.

03

Adult confidentiality

An adult family member’s information is not automatically shared with the account holder or other relatives. Their consent and safety guide communication.

04

Right appointment format

Young children and many symptoms need video or in-person examination. The clinician can redirect the appointment when remote care is not enough.

Before you rely on the plan

Set expectations once.

Keep the plan summary and terms. Accurate member details and clear limits make care safer and prevent unexpected charges.

Useful answers

Before you decide.

The practical details should be clear before you enrol or rely on membership for care.

Who counts as a family member?

The current plan summary defines eligible relationships, ages and address requirements. Ask for it before enrolment so every person you expect to cover is named.

Can one parent access an adult child’s record?

Not automatically. Adult clinical information is confidential. Access depends on the patient’s consent, legal authority and any safety considerations.

Can children use video appointments?

Sometimes, but age, symptoms and the need for examination matter. A clinician may require video, in-person assessment, urgent care or another service.

Can different family members see different doctors?

Yes. The service matches each concern to appropriate availability and clinical need. Continuity is supported where practical but a specific doctor is not guaranteed.

What happens when someone leaves the plan?

Their clinical record remains protected under healthcare record requirements. Access and billing change according to the written membership terms.

Membership enquiries

Ask for the current plan summary.

Email your name, contact details and whether you are interested in Individual or Family membership. Please do not include symptoms, medicines or other medical information in ordinary email; the team will explain the secure route when clinical information is needed.
