Women’s health. Care that listens first.

Questions about periods, menopause, contraception or urinary symptoms can be personal. A thoughtful GP conversation helps you explain what has changed and understand the next step that is right for you.

Allhours GP is in development. This page describes planned care. Appointment availability, clinician details, consultation length, locations and prices are not yet confirmed.

What we can help assess

Start with what matters to you.

A GP can explore symptoms, medical history and preferences with you. Some questions can begin with a conversation; others need an examination, test or more specialised care.

Changes through midlife

Perimenopause & menopause

Talk through symptoms, their effect on everyday life and the options or follow-up that may be appropriate.

Menstrual health

Periods & bleeding

Discuss heavy, painful or changing periods and whether an in-person assessment or investigation is needed.

Your choices

Contraception

Explore methods in the context of your health and preferences. Some options require a separate in-person fitting service.

Urinary health

Urinary concerns

Discuss discomfort or recurring symptoms. A clinician may recommend a test, urgent assessment or another route of care.

These concerns can affect people of different genders. The most suitable service depends on your symptoms and clinical needs. Planned scope and age eligibility will be confirmed before booking opens.

A considered consultation

Room for the full picture.

The planned GP pathway begins with your concern and makes space for the questions, history and preferences that shape a sensible plan.

Explore GP appointment options

Explain what has changed

When booking opens, you will be able to choose a suitable appointment and tell the clinician why you would like to speak.

Discuss the options

A GP can ask questions, consider your history and explain when an examination, test or different service is needed.

Leave with a clear next step

That may be advice, a treatment decision where appropriate, further investigation, follow-up or a referral.

Choose the right setting

The format follows the concern.

A remote conversation can be a useful starting point. Some symptoms, procedures or investigations require face-to-face care.

No appointment mode, clinic location or procedure is available until it appears in a live booking journey. A GP may recommend a different service if that is safer for your concern.

Beyond the conversation

Clarity matters as much as an answer.

Good care includes knowing what the assessment suggests, what remains uncertain and what to do next. Some concerns take more than one appointment to understand.

Tests, prescriptions and referrals depend on clinical judgement, an approved pathway and availability. Any separate cost should be made clear before you agree to it.

Personalised advice shaped by your symptoms, history and preferences.

Further assessment when an examination, test or specialist opinion is needed.

A plan for follow-up so you understand what to watch for and where to seek help.

Good to know

Before your appointment.

A few practical questions about the planned Women’s Health pathway.

Can I discuss more than one concern?

You can explain what is worrying you. The clinician may prioritise the most important issue and suggest another appointment if several concerns need careful assessment.

Can menopause symptoms be discussed remotely?

A video or telephone conversation may be a suitable starting point. A GP may recommend an examination or tests depending on your symptoms and history. The availability of this pathway has not yet been confirmed.

Will I be offered a specific treatment or contraception method?

No particular medicine or method is guaranteed. A GP will consider clinical suitability and what is available through an approved service. Some methods require a separate fitting appointment.

Will I need a test or an in-person examination?

Possibly. The clinician will decide with you whether a remote conversation provides enough information, or whether examination, testing or onward care is more appropriate.

Can I book a Women’s Health appointment now?

Not through this page. Allhours GP is in development. Live times, clinicians, appointment length and the full price will be shown before payment when booking opens.

What if I need urgent help?

This page has no live clinical response. For urgent medical advice, use NHS 111. Call 999 for a life-threatening emergency.
